There are no voice-overs which made the game feels a little bit empty, the soundtracks is good, there are only three tracks but it didn't feel repetitive at all as it is fitting the atmosphere. Sadly there is no map, which means you'll have to backtrack multiple times to collect items and find any active hidden objects scenes which you need to visit at least twice. The artwork is stunning, keeping in mind this game was released years ago it still doesn't look dated to me at all. Living Legends: Ice Rose story about Edward who left to Rosemount after finding a mysterious mirror shard, something was calling him to uncover the secret of the snow-covered city. :DĪ beautifully made game originally released in 2012. Otherwise you're left with a cliffhanger that won't be resolved by playing the second game!ĭespite the fact that Ice Rose lacks the polish that was present in #2, Frozen Beauty, it is still absolutely worth playing. The Bonus Chapter continues the story, and I have to say, it's a bit unfair that those who bought the Standard Edition (non-Steam) didn't get to play this - it both gives some important information that you truly need to fully understand the story, and gives you the true ending.
I definitely enjoyed myself, and recommend it to my fellow IHOG fans. This second Living Legends installment is a solid, beautiful and entertaining hidden object game that will likely take you between four and six hours to complete, depending on your style of gameplay. The extra gameplay takes place immediately after the ending of the main game, and was just as enjoyable as the main game, and with 15 locations to visit - some of them brand new, some of them revisited but. Movies (can also be replayed via your Journal).Music - four tracks, can be saved on your computer.

There is one collectible - squirrel tokens - which we use to upgrade our pet's home.Įverything wraps up nicely, but there's juuuust a bit of ambiguity to suggest the storyline for another game. The protagonists were likeable, and we had a companion for a good portion of the game. The save-your-sister storyline is nothing new, but I really enjoyed the way the devs incorporated well-known fairy tale characters into the mix. Sound effects were well-picked and non-invasive. Some of the voices are really professionally-done, and the rest are pretty good. There are four orchestral pieces, all of which are lovely, and which can be saved on your computer in the EXTRAS portion. The artwork is gorgeous, with many of the scenes having a moment or two with no HUD present - Perfect for people like myself who love taking screenshots! There IS a mis-click penalty - even in Casual Mode - but you have to click pretty rapidly for it to come up. Sadly, there were only three of these in the game, with the rest of the HOS being your standard, slightly-interactive fare, and each of which being visited twice.
The first HOS we had was highly-interactive, with things to find and place in the scene in order to find more items. There are three difficulties to choose from, each clearly defined on the selection page. Options include separate sliders for Music, Sound & Voice, custom cursor, fullscreen/Windowed, maintain aspect ratio, and the ability to change your difficulty level at any time.
